The Trust for Public Land (TPL) is a national, nonprofit, land
conservation organization that conserves land for people to enjoy
as parks, community gardens, historic sites, rural lands and other
natural places, ensuring livable communities for generations to
come. Cox Conserves Heroes is a national awards program
created by Cox Enterprises and TPL that honors volunteers among us
who create or preserve shared outdoor places in our local
communities.
American Rivers is the leading conservation organization standing up for healthy rivers so communities can thrive. American Rivers protects and restores the nation's rivers and the clean water that sustains people, wildlife and nature. Founded in 1973, American Rivers has more than 65,000 members and supporters, with offices in Washington, D.C. and nationwide. Through the partnership, Cox employees work with American Rivers to cleanup waterways in various locations across the country.
